Mastellone Giuseppe

Growing up in Sorrento, Giuseppe Mastellone spent his summers learning under the guidance of Antonio Davide, one of the region’s most celebrated inlay masters. Those formative years laid the foundation for a lifelong dedication to intarsio—the intricate art of wood inlay that has been synonymous with Sorrento for more than 150 years. Today, Giuseppe works from his workshop in Sant’Agnello alongside a team of skilled artisans and his two sons, Gennaro and Umberto. The finished works are vibrant and imaginative, but their true beauty lies in the unseen process: selecting each veneer, cutting every element by hand, and assembling countless pieces into a seamless composition.
