Master Venetian glassmaker Archimede Seguso was perhaps best known for his vases, sculptures and decorative objects, however his expert hand also extended to jewelry. Using lampworking and furnace techniques, he created earrings, necklaces and brooches that came to be prized by collectors everywhere—with some styles earning themselves a spot in major museum collections. This necklace from the 1960s is illustrative of his experimental eye, each Murano glass link amplified by rhinestones and gilt brass.
