Heirlome was started by Stephanie Suberville and Jeffrey Axford with a vision to preserve forgotten traditions through print, weaving, knitting and embroidery. Its name, drawn from the Middle English word for heirloom, reflects their belief that generational knowledge, craft and skill are invaluable. For ABASK, they collaborate with artisanal, family-owned workshops across Mexico and Latin America, such as Madres y Artesanas Tex in La Paz and Arturo Estrada Hernández in Santa María del Río. The result is silk and cashmere women’s clothing lovingly crafted by hand, every detail reflective of its maker’s touch.
