Entirely unique and one-of-a-kind, Perla Valtierra’s handmade lidded dessert plate is hand-thrown, oxide glazed and fired at 1200° by Valtierra’s team of 20 artisans in Bajío, Mexico. The green rustic design and scalloped rim nods to a local pottery tradition in Dolores, Mexico which dates back to colonial time. Due to the unique glaze, some inconsistencies in finish may occur.

Based in Mexico City, Perla Valtierra’s hand-made ceramics transport you back in time, where every piece connects the maker and the user. Valtierra’s team of 20 artisans use the teachings of philosopher Soetsu Yanagui to create hand-thrown ceramics and slip-case editions in Bajío, Mexico. The ‘aesthete’ practices traditional pottery across the globe, perfecting her Bajío earthenware and oxide glazing techniques.
